These terms cover your use of this website. Training itself is covered by the membership agreement and the liability waiver you sign at the academy, and where those documents and this page disagree, those documents win.
What is on this site
We keep the class timetable, the programmes and the prices as accurate as we can, and they still change. Nothing on this site is an offer or a contract: the rates and times that apply to you are the ones the academy confirms when you enrol.
Booking a class
Booking a free first class through this site is a request, not a reserved place — we will reply by email or phone to arrange it. Membership prices, the enrolment fee, discounts and the rules on freezing or cancelling are on the Memberships page and in the agreement you sign at the academy.
Text messages
If you tick the consent box on a sign-up form at join.pacejiujitsuhq.com, Pace Jiu-Jitsu will send you text messages and emails about your trial class, offers, upcoming events and the academy, some of them marketing. The box is optional: you can book a class without ticking it.

- Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Training carries risk
Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai are contact activities and injuries happen in them. Everybody who steps on the mats signs a waiver and an assumption-of-risk agreement at the academy first, including for a free trial class. Nothing on this website is medical advice; if you are not sure you are fit to train, ask a doctor before you start.
Under 18
A parent or legal guardian has to enrol anyone under 18 and sign the waiver on their behalf.
Our words and pictures
The text, photographs and video on this site belong to Pace Jiu-Jitsu or are used with permission, and the Pace Jiu-Jitsu name and logo are ours. You are welcome to read, link to and share these pages. Copying the content for your own commercial use, or scraping the site automatically, needs our written permission first.
Links to other sites
We link out to our own sign-up pages and to our social accounts. We do not run those platforms and we are not responsible for what they do or what they show you.
What we do not promise
The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption or free of mistakes. So far as Oregon law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited — injury caused by negligence included.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Oregon, and any dispute about them belongs in the state or federal courts for Lane County, Oregon.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The date at the top of the page is when they last changed, and using the site afterwards means the new ones apply.
